There’s certainly more than enough bad news in the world these days, and my supremely pessimistic grandfather finds it all and makes sure I know about it, but there was one indisputably charming news story yesterday, which came from Germany.

Anna-Bell and Mika decided to go to Africa to get married, tired of wintry Germany and wanting to go somewhere warm. The twist on this story is that Anna-Bell is five years old and Mika six, and the third member of the party was Mika’s sister Anna-Lena, joining them to be a witness at the wedding. They made it as far as the train station before arousing suspicion for their lack of parents, as well as their strange outfit choice: sunglasses and waterwings…
